SAMPLING OF ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Challenged with the turnaround of a company after years of losses, declining sales, I Initiated the Linux-Oracle project which significantly cut MIS budget by reengineering old legacy applications. Oracle ERP apps and Oracle DB were moved from Thu64 Unix/Compaq Alpha platform to Linux Red Hat AS 3.0/Intel platform.

  • Facing the increasing needs of a fast growing company, with challenging users (games developers) I formulated, defined and implemented company’s new corporate network (IP VPN Technology). This unique network architecture reduced IT maintenance costs while providing a new level of performances and reliability.

TEMENOS is a leading global banking software company with a firm foundation and strong financials. The Company’s core processing products encompass all banking segments. TEMENOS has a global presence through 35 offices in 5 continents with an international client base.

Corporate IT director

  • Managing 13 direct reports, 46 operational reports spread on 11 countries

  • Ensure strategic development and supervise execution of all issues of general organizational importance for IT operations

  • Coordinate the IT activities between subsidiaries

  • Serve as liaison between the Executive management and IT departments

Atari Inc / Infogrames, New York, USA                                                           July 2000 to June 2005

New York-based Atari, Inc. (800M€) develops interactive games for all platforms and is one of the largest third-party publishers of interactive entertainment software in the U.S.

Global IT Director and IT Security Officer

  • Oversaw Atari and Infogrames global IT infrastructure and systems, reporting directly to the Atari’s Chief Information Officer

  • Chairman of Atari IT Executive Steering Committee which was in charge of Global IT strategy.

  • Instigator of strategic moves towards Open Source Software (Linux) for mission critical applications.

  • Managed 3 direct reports, 20 operational reports spread on 15 countries. This includes

    • Developing proposals, documents, and best practices for IT Infrastructure projects on a global basis.

    • Proficiently encouraging teamwork, providing guidance to technical staff, formulating, defining and implementing company IT security policies over 30 locations worldwide

    • Interacting with providers to select best technology

  • Managed and oversaw Microsoft Active Directory deployment, followed by Microsoft Exchange upgrade (Exchange 5.5 toward Exchange 2003). This implementation spread across 12 locations is based on Windows 2003 servers.

  • Responsible for information security for entire group (Atari/Infogrames) including: risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, recommendation of operational and policy risk mitigation measures; compliance assessment; coordination of computer security incident response; implementation of protection of critical systems (system architecture and firewalls); definition and promulgation of best security practices

  • Designed and successfully implemented a global security strategy for Atari/Infogrames’ group.

    • Netscreen security appliances were rolled out on more than 15 locations

    • New IP-VPN design, more reliable, more efficient, easier to manage (Netscreen security manager)

    • Configured and installed Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS) probes (Netscreen/Snort)

Infogrames Entertainment, Lyon, France                                                        July 1996 to June 2000

Infogrames Entertainment SA, (700M€) is one of the world's leading publishers and distributors of video games for all consoles.

European IT manager

  • Designed, implemented VoIP solution for the whole Infogrames group. Infogrames’ headquarters’ location was the biggest Cisco VoIP deployment in Europe (700 IP phones) at that time.

  • Formulated, defined and implemented company’s corporate network (IP VPN). This unique network architecture reduced IT maintenance costs while providing a new level of performances and reliability.

  • Created global replication system to ensure all worldwide servers are up to date. This was done through customized scripts (Perl/Bash).

  • Researched industry business/IT trends, providing IT strategies and goals.

Iris, Lyon, France                                                                                      January 1993 to June 1995

  • Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, optimizing and maintenance of a farm of 50 UNIX servers in a 24h/365 day environment.
